     So I've kind of hit a block with War of the Undead.  It will definitely be continuing, but it may be a while until the next chapter.  You know, stuff like Christmas and my birthday are coming up, and school is still very much a thing and all that jazz.  Again, WotU WILL continue, it may just be another month or so before I can bring up any desire to continue the story.  I can't think of much else to include in it, because my style of writing has me creating an ending first and working up to that ending, creating the plot as I go.  I have the ending for WotU: Signature of Demise planned out, and it will most likely be the end of the serie

    John picked up the letter that had arrived in the mailbox of the team's vacation getaway.  He quickly read over the short poem and was disturbed.  "Guys!  You may want to see this," he shouted while beckoning the others over.  He read the letter aloud to the group, finishing with the senders' names.  The group's members were all equally as shocked as John was.  Maya was the first one to lose speechlessness.  "Well, that vacation was fun while it lasted.  I guess we have some catching up to do back in Loredec now, though."  Susan came to a realization.  "If we're this far from Loredec, how long ago was that letter written?  The mail servic

When everything is over, where will they go? When nothing is left, what is their home? Sounds of scratching, tearing, ripping. The hand of death is slowly gripping. "Where are they going?" "What are they doing?" "Why did they leave us?" "Nobody is coming." Sky filled with blood, water thick like mud.      The Montine twins stood before the group.  Maya glared at John.  "I told you so," she muttered.  John readied his axe and stood waiting for a fight.  Bart held his hammer in one hand and a knife in the other.  Maya drew her sword elegantly from her side and held it pointed at Charlie.  "You.  I never should have trusted you.  You were playing us from the beginning, weren't you?  I will be the one to see you on your way," Maya shouted.  Charlie lunged at Maya.     Maya blocked her dash with a deft swing of her blade.  Charles jumped at Susan, who threw a piece of metal in response.  It hit Charles in the chest and he fell down in pain.

     The stadium was in sight, but still very far away.  The sun was high in the sky, and the group was getting tired, so they stopped to rest for a moment.  Some time passed before the group stood up and saw a large grey zombie approaching.  It had the same build as Kurai, but this time was one whole piece rather than a man sewn back together.  Bart reached into his pocket and pulled out a small knife.  It flew threw the air and hit the zombie's knee.  It fell to the ground and its leg broke off.  Susan threw some nails at the zombie's other leg before the zombie lifted itself up with its arms and roared.  John ran at it with his axe.    

     The group found their motorcycles and began to head for the Loredec Hospital.  They stopped when they saw a sign for a weapon store.  Susan busted open the window to the shop and the group climbed inside.  The walls of the store were covered in guns, swords, ammunition, silencers, and many other items.  Maya immediately went to a corner of the store and began sharpening her sword.  Meanwhile, Susan was adding nails to her bat and Bart was filling his pockets with knives.  Kevin was attaching daggers to his gloves.  On one side of the room, John was helping Charlie pick out a weapon.     "So would you rather have a gun or a sword?  Pers

     When the group walked out of the warehouse doors, the sky was filled with smoke.  A large part of Loredec had been set ablaze.  Homes had been burned to the ground, fire zombies were everywhere, and nobody could think of an explanation other than the man with the flamethrower.     The group retreated back to the laboratory island and stayed there for a few hours until a heavy storm came.  The rain poured down and made quick work of the flames, allowing the team to return to Loredec.  When they arrived, the streets were covered with ash.  "Oh no...  I hope my brother is okay," Charlie said.  "It looks like the fire wasn't near our house

     John ran up to Bart and tore the tape from his mouth.  As he was being untied by Susan, Bart started talking about what had happened.  "I was just at home gathering supplies but then suddenly I heard a noise behind me, then I turned around and -" He was cut off.  "And what?" Kevin inquired.  "And there was a guy there.  He ran up to me and knocked me out, then I woke up here," Bart finished.  "Can you describe him?" John asked.  "Well, he was mostly in the dark.  I couldn't make out much aside from that he was kind of tall," he answered.  The group now had three goals: stop the infection, find Charles, and find the man who attacked Bart.

     "I feel like he would have gone this way," Charlie said.  "I've been with him my whole life - he's my brother, after all - and this seems like the way he'd go."  "Are you sure?  I... honestly still don't trust you."  Maya seemed skeptical.  "Yeah!  Why don't you trust me?  I trust you," Charlie asked.  Maya thought for a moment.  "Well," she began, "We just met you.  None of us have ever seen you before, so why should we?  For all we know, you could be leading us into a trap."  Charlie sighed.  "I swear, I'm not!  Let's just go this way."     Kevin stopped.  "Wait.  If that guy had Kurai's weapon, shouldn't we check Kurai's lab first?

     Maya quickly drew her sword and slashed at the zombie.  John, Kevin, and Susan each grabbed their weapons and disposed of the surrounding zombies.  As their undead opponents fell, Susan, Kevin, John, and Maya mounted their motorcycles and rushed back to the news station.  Bart was on break, and Kevin found him.  "They're back!" he shouted.  Bart immediately knew what he meant and ran into the recording room.  He sent out a broadcast, saying that the zombies were back.  Bart also told civilians to hide somewhere safe.  Bart said he wasn't ready for another event like before, and drove home to gather his wits.  The team of four stepped out
